Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well considering what is happening in the world right now. Since many of us are staying at home, I wanted to come on here and write a blog post that would be relevant and helpful during this time. I thought it would be great to share some ideas of what to do while social distancing so here is a list of 35 activities to keep you busy:
- Read your old journals
- Learn calligraphy/hand lettering
- Make a mood boosting playlist and have a dance party
- Have a DIY spa day: mani/pedis, face masks and finish it off with a relaxing bubble bath complete with your favorite candle burning in the background.
- Start a blog or instagram page for your favorite hobby
- Try out new recipes using common ingredients that you already have
- Complete a puzzle
- Go through old photos and make a photo book from a previous vacation (I love Shutterfly)
- Make a bucket list of everything you want to do after this season has passed
- Clean your makeup brushes and sponges
- Write down your 5 and 10 year goals
- Learn every lyric to a rap
- Try out a new workout you’ve never done before: Zumba, kickboxing, Peloton has a free 30 day trial on their app, etc
- Learn a new hairstyle that you’ve always wanted to master (fishtail, dutch braid, etc)
- Make a collage with old magazines
- Start a bullet journal
- Rearrange your furniture and decorations
- Have fun and get goofy with Tik Tok
- Binge watch old childhood shows: The Suite Life and Hannah Montana anyone? 😛
- Color coordinate your closet
- Experiment with a new makeup look and have your own photoshoot
- Shop your closet and try to make outfits outside of your comfort zone
- Pull out that adult coloring book or print some sheets from online
- Take a virtual tour of multiple museums here
- Start vlogging your activities (try to do one new thing everyday!) and experiment with video editing
- Clear storage on your laptop/phone by deleting things you don’t need (not that exciting but feels good after!)
- Support small businesses by shopping online, buying gift cards for later use and ordering take out
- Paint with Bob Ross (videos here)
- Try to complete a DIY Pinterest project
- Play around with Lightroom and make your own preset
- Try to recreate a Tasty video
- Take out an old instrument and practice a new song
- Send a care package to a loved one with a handwritten note and their fave goodies
- Learn how to sew/knit and fix that hole on that shirt you just can’t seem to part with
- Try your hand at latte art
